Dispute Resolution

Atkinson Firth has a dispute resolution department. It deals with:

• Debt recovery claims
• Disputes over wills and inheritance
• Business and contractual disputes
• Landlord and tenant disputes
• Traffic offences
• Boundary disputes
• Disputes mediation
• Settlement claims
• Employment disputes
• Disputes between partnership and shareholders
• Professional negligence

The members of the department have experience built up over more than 40 years in the legal profession. They have handled cases with claims no matter how small or large over the years and deal with independent proceedings in the County Court and High Court as well as means of mediation and arbitration.

The members of this department are Tahira, Graham, Julie and Iqra. Julie has worked in the department for 18 years and handled as an assistant to the team cases over the years and built-up in-depth knowledge of administrative process of claims, taking statements, preparing reports and dealing with instruction of experts.

Iqra has recently joined the firm as a law graduate. She is currently training as a member of the team to deal with matters on a lower end of the scale and will be throughout advised and supervised by senior members of the team.
